Roy, >Great news Vic - but can you explain the steps to follow in order to >program a chip from a hex file. I normally do not use MPLAB to burn my PIC software. When I was using = MPLAB, I think I selected Programmer from the main menu bar and then = selected the appropriate hardware [ICD2 in this case]. After selecting = the proper programmer, a second selection of Programmer has a entry for = configuring the programmer. I don't remember past that. I am now using = a Wisp628 programmer with XWisp2. Much easier. The baggage of the MPLAB = is not needed to burn a Hex file with the program generated by = mikroPascal or mikroC compiler. The '628 gets the job done for me. My = apps have a ICD2 compatable connection on-board. Sorry I was not much help here. Perhaps some MPLAB guru could wade in!
