I know the topic of USB-based RS-232 ports has been discussed here quite some time ago. I am mainly interested in using one to run my Warp 13 programmer. Anyone have any idea how well that would work? It would probably be with Win XP. Alternatively, if anyone can recommend a USB-based PIC programmer, that might be a better option. While rare, they still are out there, so I wouldn't give up just yet. The Dell 600m I got has both a serial and parallel port, one of the main reasons I went for that one was BECAUSE it had a serial port (didn't want to carry around a USB serial port adapter all the time for when I use GPS). The amazing battery life, lighter weight and very high resolution screen (for it's size) were the other draws.
