I have a similar setup here (PIII, Win98SE, Warp13a...although I haven't upgraded the bluepole firmware just yet). Post attaching your hex file and I'll see if the same thing happens here. Also, check the sparkfun forum: the conventional wisdom seems to be not to use a version of MPLAB later than v.6.6 or thereabouts. If you want an older version some of them are available at microchip's site. I uninstalled v.7.1 and went back to v.6.62. I also downloaded the most recent PC-side software from the Newfound Electronics web site. I am trying to use it to program a 16F877A. The problem is that when I try to open the HEX file (generated by the latest MPLAB, v7.2) in the Warp 13 software, it gives the following error: WARP13 caused an invalid page fault in module KRNL386.EXE at 0001:00002268. I am using Win98 Second Edition on this computer (a PIII 450MHz). I am also sending a message to Newfound but I thought I'd ask here as well.
