In SX Microcontrollers, SX/B Compiler and SX-Key Tool, dkemppai wrote:
HAVE YOU CHECK YOUR POWER SUPPLY? You could just be 'browning out' the device. I know it may seem silly to ask, but I seem to always have either my BasicStamp or the SXKey fail to program due to low voltage. At times I have gottem odd behavior and at other times it just says that no device can be found. My problem is that I prefer to use a battery pack at my programing desk because more wires just get tangled. Sooner or later I find the wires pulling everything off the table and onto the floor.
It works with the same power supply but on a USB to RS-232 converter (as posed further back in the thread). The power is good (Stiff/fast supply with lots of bypassing caps). I'm convinced that the program just doesn't like my hardware serial port! -Dan ---------- End of Message ---------- You can view the post on-line at: http://forums.parallax.com/forums/default.aspx?f=7&p=1&m=80628#m82490 Need assistance?
