The extended-Wisp628 method of temporarily shorting the tagets power seems to work, but is a bit crude. But I see no other way for self-powered targets. > 2. Not much, the current firmware handles it OK, but the 'standard' Wisp628 lacks the hardware to switch the Vdd of the target. Hence the additional circuit.
