I am a Kiwi. My original comment allowed of this interpretation :-)

Not that "Kiwi" has any great genealogical depth in most cases, 
whether (almost entirely part) Maori or Pakeha. My grandparents were 
all Australians. And at least on one side and probably both, their 
grand or great grandparents would have been ex UK (one division or 
t'other).
