Tom's idea is so solid, that that task needs to be done. In fact I think it would be great to have an entire series (wiki, book?) structured in that tutorial format. If you just need to use the tool, just drop the code in. If you really want to learn how it works, then read the annotated comments. I may be willing to tackle this for something small.
