My book is originally written in portuguese, but my characters are Canadians, Americans, Italians and Brazilians. Most of its story takes place in Rio de Janeiro, but because of their origin, they send 'coded' messages to each other in english. Also, yes, I chose all this because I want to make it easier to be published overseas. Writting a book > will not get you the fortune, especialy a technical book. Writing the book in English will give Pedro a much wider audience. On the same note, if you want your code to be appreciated by more than just [insert your language here]-speaking people, write the comments in English. Most programmers speak/understand English at least at the basic level.
