I can imagine someone of an age and ability to receive PICList, but whose parents were still worried about them being exposed to "pornography." Even more likely on some of the less advanced technical mailing lists (remote control stuff, BEAM robotics, rocketry...) For that matter, I can unfortunately also imagine a company who has decided that the easiest way to avoid sexual harassment lawsuits is to simply not permit any pictures to be distributed via email... (cisco had something of an edict against "peer to peer software" in their computing policy a couple years back, which most people found rather amusing. Looks like it is gone now, though...)
