By the time it got here, encoded and surrounded by MIME headers,
it was about 1600 bytes :-)  On the other hand, the basic email
headers (not including the MIME bits for the attachment), were
more than 2600 bytes.  Sigh.  So I'll repeat that it's not the
size that's the useful part of ascii art...

(For instance:
    Yahoo groups don't save attachments.
    GIF format considered evil.
    my main mail reader doesn't do GIF, and barely does MIME.
    certain list rules don't permit attachments.
    certain people won't be permitted to receive pictures.
)
