I am really very interested and I have emailed Mark off-list. PICkit 1 is one of my favorite and now it can be a good learning tools for me as well. After Mark's email I am now leaning towards Python already. Still GCC and VB are also possible. Maybe I will start with Python first and later see if I can learn VB and better my C skills.
