It does not appear that this technology is down to a price range that will find its way into home workshops YET. There are vendors offering laser cut model airplane kits at reasonable prices. While the quality & fit of the parts are great I doubt they are profitable to the manufacturer. While pattern cutting with abrasives is a little less accurate and a little more labor intensive it is still more practical. The highest quality manufacturers are now in China and they are not doing it with cheap labor, they are doing it with high tech manufacturing.
