So if I sent 300K bytes to the SX, the PC should receive 300K --- I didn't measure this exactly, but it appears the SX sent, lets say, 120k of data of the 300k leaving the floppy drive. It just so happens they were all zeros. I'm not speculating one way or the other why this is, I was just commenting on the observation. Thanks.
