Microchip may describe just the 12F683 as nW, but compare its power figures with the 12F629/675. In some cases the latter is better. eg parameters D021 (WDT current), D015 etc (run uA at various frequencies). I'm sure it's a case of the documentation not reflecting the true capabilities of the part.
