Is it possible to see where in the chain the byte
gets lost ? I mean, is it between the modem
and the PIC, or between the 
PIC and the MAX3100 ?
Or maybe even *before* the modem or *after* the
MAX3100 ? And also, what is there before the modem
and after the 
MAX3100 ?
