And I wonder if they would have pulled a "goose that laid the golden egg" on it and taken it apart to see how it works so they could make more. (-: It might make an interesting scifi story. But just think how much a single computer would have been worth to the code breakers at Bletchley Park, or in the US Navy, during WW II. How many electromechanical "bombes" would it have replaced, or how much faster would solutions have popped out? And how many different crypto systems would have been broken?
