Every single wiki I have ever seen has been extremely useful - the subjects seem to always end up on the same page, instead of having 10 pages about the same thing, but very slightly different. Also, if someone does spam/corrupt/mess with any pages in the wiki, it is extremely easy for the first user to see it to roll-back to an earlier copy of the page.
