It'd go really well on [TECH] :-)

A point is that some feel passionately about the purity of the PIC tag 
and rightly wish to keep it relevant to PICs. I feel more strongly 
about EE and would like to see it containing generally electrical 
matters.Adding steam engine joint heaters  and Trebuchets and star 
wars logging machines, all of which I'm interested in, would dilute 
the true EE content and make it less attractive to people doing 
electronics in general.I really really can't see the point of 
objections to either an eg TECH or WOT tag or even both. It would seem 
to cure more than it harms and could be revisited after say 3 months.

If it had to be one or other I'd favo(u)r TECH. That's where the 
global warming and DDT and ballistas would go. Leaving the OT to 
darkness :-). Even "teaching our children science" belongs in TECH to 
start (IMHO) and if people really wanted it could be subsequently 
banished to OT while Gerhard and I slug out the relevance of PS and 
NPS to everyone else's boredom. [[[BTW, those who don't think the PS 
versus NPS discussion is relevant to what we do here is greatly 
missing the point.]]]
