No, it will not reset the demo period if in the similar
version (eg: from 1.31 to 1.32).

I think it reset the period if you upgrade from 1.2x
to 1.3x but I am not so sure.

Has anyone tried to reload it to see if that resets the demo period like the
C18 compiler?

Not got to use the dsPic yet, so haven't been through the loop.
