>> Anyone know how to import a graphic image (bmp, gif, etc) into Eagle, >> so it appears on any of the Silkscreen layers? There are some tools in the Eagle download area. For instance: BMP2EAGLE converts monochrome bitmap (.BMP) files to a script readable by EAGLE. It does this by simply converting pixels to rectangles. You can use this for adding logos or special drawings directly on your board or schematic layout. (that doesn't sound particularly promising, IMO, but YMMV.) Really, though. One of the big advantages of Eagle (IMO) is that compared to other programs available at similar cost and terms, the level of support available from Cadsoft (via their website and news forums) is quite exceptional. If you download and try to use eagle without taking a good skim through their site and newsgroups, you're missing half of the product... (and they fix bugs, too!)
