NU1S114-434 -> http://www.bothhandusa.com/products/rj45/NU1S114-434-RevA2-021210.pdf I ordered EASY ETHERNET CS8900A from EDTP ( www.edtp.com ). Board has CS8900A, PIC18F452, NU1S114-434 and some I/O ports. I plugged it to power. It worked fine. But then after I reprogrammed it several times using Microchip's PM3 it stopped working. PIC does work. I checked it. I think that the problem is either with CS8900A ( but as many say it's the last place I should be looking at ) or the transformer integrated with RJ45 -> NU1S114-434. I sent e-mail to EDTP and they told me that they had never had any broken board before. Why do I think is broken? When I plug in Ethernet cable the link diode doesn't lit. I tried cross-over cable and tried connecting it to hub. Doesn't work. I even took out PIC from socket. The same. Cirrus ( manufacturer of CS8900A ) says that if LED is not on after you plug in Ethernet cable it is hardware problem. It happened after I reprogrammed PIC. Did anybody experience something like that before? Can programming voltage damage CS8900A or transformer? If not what could be the reason of that?
