Nope.  Just ran across an unusual problem that absorbed an hour or two of
non-billable time, that others might eventually find helpful or at least
interesting.  When I eventually stop being coy about the remedy for the
problem, perhaps somebody with a better knowledge of PIC architecture can
propose a mechanism for the observed behavior.
