Are you sure about this?  I wouldn't know from experience, but I find this
hard to believe.  Where did you get this information from?

It would be a good idea to at least write new code in relocatable mode, else
you have the never ending absolute mode problem.

Have you tried the obvious "/o-"?  Again though, I find it hard to believe
the default has changed.
