I wrote/built my programmer as a learning exercise in moving from 16F84s, to 16F627, to 16F872s and 16F877s and now it will help making the next step to 18FXXX. I looked at Wisp628 but it isn't going to be much help other than the very lowest level code which actually programs the 18F chips.
