Given that ALL chips in all packages in this industry
are numbered counter clockwise looking down from the top,
and given that the 'other' drawings you found were
"not Microchip", what do YOU think is the correct way?

And if there is a chip numbered contrary to
industry standards, what WERE they thinking?.
