For some reason, since Friday evening, any attached graphic (gif
bmp jpg at least) is seen as a line of blocks

When you move the cursor down the page, it slows down when
passing through this line of blocks, also when selecting them, so
there's obviously something there that OE has to think about

Graphic attachments previous to this date can still be seen in all
their multi-colour glory

Any ideas ? I didn't knowingly install anything on Friday night or
tinker with the OS at all, to the best of my knowledge
