I am searching for an alternative to the AverLogic AL422B and similar
frame buffer ICs http://www.averlogic.com/password/AL422_Flyer.PDF
I could concievably make my own with some RAM and a PLD, but it would
take more effort. The AverLogic part is nice, but I imagine there must
be other chips like this out there, but my searches so far have been
unsuccessful. The total memory isn't too important, though something
around 128Kbytes would be great, and as small as 16Kbytes would be
useful.
