Hmmm... good thought. I had always thought that RS485 was similar to RS232 in terms of being a 2-node link. I've just checked and found it really is a bus structure, so I'll go do some research on it. BTW, what do you mean by "8-pin"? Are you referring to the interface chip (such as ST485)? Cheers, -Neil.
