Thought I should point people to my other completed board layout.  This 
is again a board for model railroads, but others might find it useful. 

Specs:
  ATMega8
  ICSP connector
  RS232 with DB9 connector. 
  IR receiver / dual IR diodes
  LCD connector
  Power supply
  Opamp
  provision for mounting 2x rotatory encoders, pots or SPDT switches

This is Alex Shepherd's project.  Main use is for a IR throttle 
(controller) for model railroad.  However, we have used it to receive 
from TV remotes.
