I did not say that he deserved abusing, and I did not notice any abusing. I noticed Olin complaining loudly about sloppy use of Eagle circuit editing, which IMHO might be a little besides the main point, but still correct. I have had some wrong PCBs due to exactly this error. I know we Dutch (that is me, not Olin) are internationally regarded as rude and thick-skinned (dunno what the correct english term is but I think you will get the meaning), but event taking this into account I am still amazed how quickly people seem to be offended when someone points out they are doing something (potentially) wrong. If you don't want to be attended to what you are doing wrong, why ask questions on a list? Plug your ears, plaster your eyes, lock the door, unplug the phone, and no-one will tell you you did something wrong. In fact no-one will tell you anything. If you like it that way, fine. But if you want to interact with other people you will find various levels of 'rudeness' and varyous styles of communication. Olin's nose is regularly rubbed in the dirt for his mode of communication (that's a dirty job and I am glad someone is doing it for me). But IMHO (some)people are way to prickly about the way their questions are answered. And some people are very lazy and IMHO they should be told so. That's also a dirty job and I am glad there are some people (not just Olin) who do that. And notice that some of Olin's posts on this matter rival James' best post in humour level.
