All measurements made with bare transformers. Both the Block and
the nameless one I used for the 13VAC

Says 50-60Hz on the box

I don't especially care what the waveform is like as long as V out
is fairly repeatable from Tx to Tx (the s/w calibrates the ADC to a
sample anyway) and the things don't burn out. It's an ideal size (for
off the shelf) but I daresay I could get someone local to wind
something similar

It's quite a bit smaller than a Tx I'd normally use for a PSU, with
which I don't have concerns, so maybe, as Roy Hopkins said,
that performance and temperature rise is just how a small Tx is
