I've just discovered that my R14 Picstart Plus (v2.30 firmware) won't =
program the 18F452, even though the MPLAB v5.50 it came with seems to =
support the 18F452.  Microchip's website is pushing the PUM module =
upgrade, but many people seem to have problems with it.  Is there any =
reason that an occasional user like myself shouldn't just buy a 17C44 =
and load it with the last available firmware version (v3.11)?
