Silicon Chip offered a Micropower Battery Protector in 7/04 Full article not available but this is this the gist of it http://www.siliconchip.com.au/cms/A_102095/article.html based on the MAX8212. In the 4/05 issue they used that circuit, minus the o/p FET, as a low-battery alarm for their SMS unit. Which I'm using now for _my_ SMS unit !! - which is s*loads better than theirs 8-) IMNSHO I can scan or draw the original schematic if you're interested and don't find what you need in the app notes for the MAX8212 http://www.maxim-ic.com/appnotes.cfm/appnote_number/14 -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
