based on the MAX8212. In the 4/05 issue they used that circuit,
minus the o/p FET, as a low-battery alarm for their SMS unit.
Which I'm using now for _my_ SMS unit !! - which is s*loads
better than theirs 8-) IMNSHO

I can scan or draw the original schematic if you're interested
and don't find what you need in the app notes for the MAX8212
