heh.  If you're only doing LED dimming, I would think I^2 would involve
similar complexity and pin count to just driving the LEDs directly.

That wouldn't apply if you already have an IIC bus with other 
peripherals
on it, of course.  That's presumably what Philips wants to encourage...
