> Does anyone here know where i can find the Hardlock API? I once worked with a outfit that used those dongles. Here's what I think I recall. You need a "crypto-programming" board available from Aladdin Systems in Israel. Each board has a vendor ID burned in it that transfers to the dongle. This information is part of the encryption service provided by the dongle. A dongle programmed with one crypto-programmer cannot replace a dongle programmed with another crypto programmer. However some dongles also have conventional eeprom or flash which I think can be programmed with less secure information. I also seem to recall them offering a reward for anyone who managed to crack their encryption algorithm, but that may be long over. Aza D.
