So, Russell, what are the options? I recently bought an Epson Stylus C65 (I know it is a cheap one but was short of cash!) and it is got to be, in my opinion, the WORST printer in the world. Painfully slow, black ink cartridges only last a couple of weeks with moderated use, takes lot of time to start printing, worst draf= t mode in the world and doesnt handle paper very well. Comparing it with cheap HP=B4s I have owned, it looses by far. Because of this, I am stayin= g far from Epson. I use to be a Lexmark fan but ink prices (at least here i= n my country) began to raise too much. I switched to HP and then they start= ed their "ink blackmai" policies so I tried the Epson. Now, should I go for Canon? Maybe the PIXMA series? The newer they get the darker their force becomes. Later versions had inbuilt memory to tell the printer the cartridge=20 was persona non grata after a certain number of copies.
