Let's see if I can post on something less contentious than recently. (Those who don't get OT don't ask !!!) I suppose other countries have suppliers of surface mount components in small volumes at a good price. An excellent NZ source for such is SMD limited. Prices are far lower than from eg RS. www.smd.net.nz They have an excellent range of parts, will sell in small quantities (resistors MOQ=10, most other parts MOQ=1), and pricing is excellent (IMHO). As an example, prices in $NZ, multiply by 0.7 to get $US 0805 resistors 1% typically price per each /volume $0.0375/10, $0.025/11-100, $0.0125/101-500, $0.0075/501-1000 LM324 16/13/10/8 cents in 1/10/100/500 quantity Transistor TR2222A 7/6/4/3 cents ULN2003 50 / 41 / 32 / 23 74HC14 13 11 8 6 Paper catalogue (useful) on request. How do eg US suppliers compare? Russell McMahon -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
