The one thing I really dislike about deep blues is that focusing becomes rather difficult. It seems the eye just isn't properly tuned to focus when only short wavelengths are present. In bright light it's not a problem due to the increased depth of field, but in low light levels blue is really annoying. Discovered this effect for the first time when someone used a dark blue light as minimal lighting behind the rear curtain of a stage (a passage the actors used to get from the green room to the other side of the stage). Changing the light to a dark green helped immensely.
