To the > original OP, does it ALWAYS happen? TTYL Yes, always happens. If I intend to run my code longer than a few minutes I disconnect the ICD2. If I leave it connected I can expect MCLR to go to 1.7Vdc within 5 to 15 minutes. Wierd huh? I don't remember if I mentioned this... If I leave the ICD2 connected and wait for MCLR to go to 1.7Vdc... then disconnect the ICD2 cable from my device... MCLR pops back up to 5Vdc and the PIC runs...
