Ok, CCS now have fixed the problem with version 3.223. However I hear that 
this version
introduces a new bug with the printf statement. Only what I heard, I know 
nothing concrete
myself except to say that this matter is been raised with them as we speak.

Also, Melabs have told me that they will release a new upgrade this week 
with their fix-up
and also add dsPIC support.

Working with Melabs was a pleasure, I wonder if I can get a job with them. ;-)
