OK...using an 18F part allows me to use the same code blocks that I have already built for the other half the project. I do need a uart, thats given. I do need low power. I do need a small package. I do need flash for ISP. So that leaves out the 10F and 12F series (no uarts) 16F88 is a good choice, but that means redoing a bunch of code.
