But the costs to MIT to host it are quite real. With budgets everywhere being squeezed, MIT does have to look at its mandates and supporting the PICLIST isn't one of them. I am probably more sensitive to this issue because I host a local astronomy group on our university mailman server. Were it not for the fact that a third of the subscribers are from the University and colleges, we would have been punted last year since we are not really part of the University I.T. mandate. As it is, there is no longer dial up support for staff. We have to purchase internet dial tone from commercial suppliers even if the primary use is University work. > Can one of the ADMINs let me know.
