The 475 is even better, but unless you are doing RF work, probably not that much better. There are also tons of probes on eBay. Look for 10x probes (so you don't load the circuit) and look for probes that have a hook that will work for you. Might be a little tough to tell from the pictures on eBay, look for an old standby like a p6101. When looking at scopes and probes, keep in mind that you will often want to get some idea of the shape of a waveform, so you want a scope and probe with at least 10x the frequency of the fastest waveform you expect to view.
