Well...firstly it's a very nice bit of the country; not as nice as it is 10 miles inland, but nice enough :-) It's downsides are that there is little employment in the area, and it should never have had it's name changed from the much more beautiful sounding (and descriptive for the area)Windscale. But, if the employment options were more like they are in Leeds / Manchester / Sheffield then I would love to live there, and would have no problem bringing my two kids up there either. More to the point (and it's a mute argument because I suppose it's never likely to happen) I would not move from where I am now if there were plans to build a nuclear power station / recycler or whatever near here, as long as they don't try to change the name of the village.
