well if you keep your PC on the floor
they can help keep feet out
and mice
a friend of mine had his computer blow up one night
when a mouse went to the loo on his motherboard
he was *not* a happy camper let me tell you.
(not to mention his computer still smelt like 
fried mouse wizz at the next LAN and no pun or
tastless remark was spared on him)
