Good question. I'm also doing some prototype work and I'll be using a 18F452
in TQFP44 package. The thing is my programmer (the development board I use)
has a DIP40 socket. How can I use that DIP40 to program my TQFP44 without
having to solder it to a board?

For other applications, we use to use adaptors from a company named Aries,
but I saw their website and I couldn't find any TQFP44 adaptor.
