USB Complete is an excellent all-around tutorial on the USB interface, specifically aimed at those of us interfacing microcontrollers. The book covers almost everything you need (and would want to know) about USB without getting involved in unnecessary details unless they are required. Once you read the book you'll likely understand the complete USB process from plug-in and discovery to working device.=20 I can recommend all of Jan Axelson's "Complete" book series. I have all=20 of them and I consider them all money well spent. I still reference=20 them occasionally -- in fact I just broke out the (much older)=20 "Parallel Port Complete" a few days ago when a colleague and I wanted=20 to use the PC parallel port as an SPI simulator for a test set.
