Oddly enough, that was posted to PICLIST less than a week ago.  I was
amazed at the simplicity of the system.  Also imortant to note is the
date it was published, 1998.  If the quality of recognition can be
improved with more CPU power (which is my no means a certain) a modern
PIC should have no trouble at all.

These seem to require a fair bit more computing power, and you are
almost certainly going to need to recode them for the PIC.
