I would narrow it a bit down: The only OO language that gets widely used when run-time performance is very important is C++. Scratch 'widely' and there are lots of small scale OO languages, for instance Eiffel and Ada9X. Scratch 'run-time peformance' and there are the run-time slower OO languages like Java or Python (who are often programming-time faster!). Scratch OO and there is just one language, C.
