Have you looked at using a different version of basic? Have a look at the code on my website, where there is a link to the basic compiler I use. You could also look on the contacts page. Others that may be worth a look are mikrobasic and either Proton or CH basic - more because of the way the assembler appears in the IDE, which would make it easier for you to produce the main code and then assemberalise (a new word folks) it if it still required it.
